In twenty years as a President/GM, Robert M. Aquilino has led turnarounds at several mid-cap acquisitions in consumer products and business-to-business technology products and services. Bob also played a leadership role in the sales and marketing of several prominent international brands, including Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Kidde and Invisible Fence, Inc.
Before coming to MorrisAnderson, Bob served as president of SpinVox, Inc., establishing voice mail to text conversion services with US Telecom Carriers in North America. He reshaped the sales and marketing organization, instilling a focus on customer development and revenue growth. His efforts transitioned the North America unit from start-up mode to a performance culture with sound business processes, leadership development plans and accountability for results.
In previous positions as a division president at United Technologies, Inc., Chubb PLC and Invisible Fence, Inc., Bob was responsible for the integration and turnaround of major global acquisitions in multiple industries. During these large and challenging consolidations, Bob succeeded in reversing declining performance trends by accelerating revenue growth, profitably consolidating operations, improving purchasing productivity and repositioning underperforming divisions.
Earlier in his career, Bob quickly rose through the ranks at PepsiCo, Inc., establishing Pepsi-Cola’s fountain and vending business in southern Europe and leading the most profitable business unit in the Eastern division as a general manager. As director of national sales for PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay brand, he focused on developing strategic partnerships with the nation’s pre-eminent retailers and engineered the largest sale in PepsiCo history with Wal-Mart that netted a $100-million annual increase in revenue. Bob went on to become vice president of global customer development and later vice president of global business development for Frito-Lay, to accelerate international brand growth with big-box retailers.
Bob has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Pennsylvania State University with extended executive study at Darden, Oxford and Wharton. Bob also served as a leadership development advisor at UNC’s Kennan-Flagler school of business.
