Jim
Ross is a results-oriented
professional with an extensive background in information
technology consulting, with an emphasis on manufacturing
systems and operations improvementin the last
10 years, Mr. Ross has focused on helping manufacturing
companies determine how to use technology to improve
operations and profits. He has managed and participated
in the following types of engagements: operations, improvements,
organization restructuring, performance measurement,
systems evaluations, plan development, requirements
definition, systems selection and implementation.
Prior to joining Morris-Anderson &
Associates, Mr. Ross applied his consulting expertise
in manufacturing-systems selection, implementation and
operations improvement to middle-market manufacturers
in a wide variety of industries, including food processing,
electronics, metal fabrication, plastics, and high-tech
computer-chip manufacturing. The scope of most of his
engagements was to find and implement enterprise-wide
solutions. As a Partner in charge of the Chicago systems-consulting
practice of BDO Seidman, he managed engagements for
clients nationwide, concentrating on information systems
and operations improvement. As a member of the National
MAS committee, he assisted in developing the firms
national policy and direction in his practice area.
Jim Ross was also the Partner-in-charge
of the Information Management Division of Altschuler,
Melvoin and Glasser before joining BDO Seidman. While
there, he worked with partners from the other practice
areas to establish industry-specialty practices, particularly
manufacturing, which served as a model for the other
industry practices.
Mr. Ross holds a Bachelors
degree in Finance and Accounting from the University
of Illinois. He is a member of the American Institute
of CPAs, Illinois Society of CPAs, and the
American Production and Inventory Control Society.
