Alan
J. Glazer has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate management, including but not limited to the development and implementation of strategic business plans, operations management and financial transactions with extensive experience in the hospitality, entertainment and casino industry. These specialties have been developed from a broad financial and operations background.
Mr. Glazer is Managing Principal of MorrisAnderson & Associates, Ltd., a highly specialized financial advisory and general management consulting firm that provides strategic advisory, crisis and turnaround management to underperforming companies, public and privately owned companies, their lenders and investors.
Mr. Glazer has been involved with the retail and hospitality industry in various capacities since childhood, as it was his family businesses. He was involved in the first state (Iowa) to legalize riverboat gambling and in all phases of its development, funding and operations. He has been a Director of Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISLE) since 1996 as well as involved with all of its financial and strategic activities since it was founded. The Isle is now one of the ten largest gaming companies in the United States. He is the Chairman of its Audit Committee and serves on its Compensation and Nominating Committees. In addition, he has worked on several other gaming companies, both for management, shareholders and potential investors. He has various licenses and/or Findings of Suitability in Mississippi, Louisiana, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Florida, The Bahamas and UK, with a license/gaming application pending in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Singapore.
Prior to joining MorrisAnderson in 1984, Mr. Glazer was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Consolidated Foods Corp., a large international manufacturer and distributor of branded consumer products. Mr. Glazer played a major role in CFC’s strategic business and financial planning, including raising capital and working with “problem-plagued” divisions. He also supervised all treasury, tax, insurance, MIS, controllership and internal audit activities.
Before joining CFC, Mr. Glazer spent 13 years at Arthur Anderson & Co., the last five as a General Partner, where he managed some of the firm’s client relationships with major national and international companies, primarily in the manufacturing and distribution of consumer products and various retailers. He has worked with small chains of specialty retailers as well as the big hard and soft goods retailers. He has extensive experience in corporate reorganizations, including structuring mergers, other acquisitions and debt.
Mr. Glazer received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University, did graduate work at Northwestern University, and is a CPA. |
