Raymond Neihengen’s extensive background includes leadership roles in some of the most prominent financial restructurings in U.S. history. He has headed up the origination and underwriting functions for asset-backed securities and managed a portfolio of more than $6 billion of loans and leases in the specialty finance industry during his work in commercial and investment banking.

His broad restructuring and bankruptcy experience spans a range of industries, including transportation, aerospace, heavy equipment manufacturing, oil and gas, metals and plastics. In 2002, the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association recognized him with its Pro Bono Turnaround of the Year Award.

Prior to joining MorrisAnderson, Neihengen was a turnaround consultant with White Oak Group and a managing director with predecessors to JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. He has experience with mergers and acquisitions, as well as with raising debt capital and risk underwriting and management, and was recognized by the American Financial Services Association for his contributions to the finance industry.

Neihengen has published numerous articles and served on various boards of directors. He has acted as chairman of a NYSE firm’s audit committee, was designated director of a financial institution in a debt-to-equity conversion transaction, and was director of a vehicle leasing company.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Notre Dame University and a master’s of business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
