Michael Jakolat, CTP, has extensive experience in turnaround consulting, development
and implementation of strategic business plans, acquisitions
and divestitures, and financial management. He has nearly
20 years of operational experience in Fortune 500 and
middle-market companies across a spectrum of industries.
Prior to joining Morris·Anderson,
Mr. Jakolat was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
for Life Fitness, a manufacturer of high-end consumer
and commercial fitness equipment, responsible for global
financial and IT operations.
In the 1990s, Mr. Jakolat performed consulting,
transactional and business development roles for Brunswick
Corporation, a Fortune 500 company specializing in recreation
and leisure goods. During that time, Mr. Jakolat led
the restructuring of a distressed middle-market marine
retailer, engineered an MBO of a middle-market European
fishing tackle distribution company, and restructured
a national distribution channel including investment
in retail businesses. In addition, Mr. Jakolat was actively
involved in $1 billion of acquisitions, development
of corporate strategies, and international expansion
in South America, Europe, Eastern Asia and India. Mr.
Jakolats industry experience includes pharmaceutical,
telecommunications, high-tech/aerospace, defense, wholesale,
retail, transportation, petroleum, recreation and leisure
products, and consumer products.
Mr. Jakolat, a Certified Turnaround Professional, began his career with Ernst & Whinney, a predecessor firm to Ernst & Young, specializing in privately-held middle-market and Fortune 500 manufacturing companies. He received his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and graduate degree from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
