Jorge Sorokin A professional with executive involvement in industries around the world, Jorge Sorokin is experienced in turnarounds, change and crisis management, and re-engineering of administrative processes.

Before joining MorrisAnderson as an independent consultant, he was a subcontractor and operational adviser for Deloitte, providing operational assessment for the largest supermarket and drugstore chain in Sonora, Mexico. He also offered strategic planning and operational turnaround services for an accessory manufacturing and distribution company in San Diego.

Sorokin speaks four languages — English, Spanish, Hebrew and French — and is at home in the U.S. or abroad. He implemented operational turnaround, 32% manufacturing cost reductions and successful sale of a $104 million company, and has served as confidential adviser to a Fortune 300 vice president of global operations.

He holds the copyright on a machine loading by computer simulation application, and has worked with companies in the biotech, pharmaceutical, medical devices, consumer goods, furniture, office products, apparel, polymers, food and beverage, telecommunications, transportation and construction industries.

His coordination of lean manufacturing initiatives at a Fortune 500 wood blind company resulted in 43% efficiency improvements, 19% reductions in labor cost per unit, and 50% reduction in space requirements. As a liaison between the world’s largest paint brush company and the largest paint company in Latin America, Sorokin introduced a customized roller cover line into 3,000 stores.

He holds a BSEE and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, both from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Institute of the Americas, and the Board of Trustees for Temple Solel, Encinitas, Calif.
