Joel S. Dryer comes to MorrisAnderson as an Independent Consultant, bringing with him three decades of notable achievement in management consulting to middle-market public and private companies, as well as entrepreneurship.
Since 1994, Joel has taken on a wide variety of consulting assignments and board of directors work, helping companies through extensive input with boards and management teams in a number of industries focusing on acquisitions and divestitures, finance and accounting, sales and marketing and manufacturing. He has also worked with several venture funds for both troubled and growing investments and structured a number financing transactions in both the public and private markets.
During this time, Joel also founded a biological sensing company that used patented detection arrays to identify bacteria and volatile organic compounds. The firm received funding from a Fortune 500 company and government grants.
Prior to his independent consulting work, Joel co-founded M~Wave, Inc., acting as Chairman and CEO from 1989 until 1994. He ran the company's three largest accounts: Lucent, Motorola and Northern Telecom (Ericson), earning sole supplier status with all three. As CEO, he was named KPMG Illinois High Tech Entrepreneur of the Year.
Joel's previous positions before establishing M~Wave, Inc. include Junior Partner at Michael A. Silverman & Co. Inc.; Chief Financial Officer at Bienenfeld Industries, Inc.; Senior Consultant for Market Plan Consultants; and Director of Corporate Planning at Alberto Culver.
Joel has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts' Isenberg School of Management and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
